| Carbosynth is a chemical company specializing in providing carbohydrates, nucleosides and niche fine chemicals to an international life science community. We have an expanding catalogue business and are seeking a good science graduate to develop the catalogue product sales. The successful candidate will join a small sales team in Compton, Berkshire, reporting to the technical director.
Responsibilities
The position will involve directly promoting, selling, marketing and responding to customer’s quotation requests and queries in relation to the company’s catalogue products. It will also require managing product stock levels, database information relating to both products and customers.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Good BSc or above in a life science discipline
- 2 or more year’s industry experience either in a sales or laboratory based role
- Computer knowledge of packages such as MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good presentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualification and Experience
- Chemistry or related life science research background
- Knowledge of chemical drawing package
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to grasp new concepts quickly. You are able to work within a team, communicating confidently both in writing and orally, often under pressure to meet deadlines. |
