Carbosynth started the 2018 social calendar with a fund-raising event to support Sport Relief 2018. This charity event brings together the worlds of sport and entertainment to raise money to help vulnerable people worldwide. The rules are simple - get active, raise money and change lives.
Keeping with the Sport Relief theme we organised a sporting event, which involved a cross-trainer, an exercise bike and a rowing machine. The event took place at Carbosynth Head Quarters in Compton, UK. The staff took 15-minute turns on one or more pieces of equipment. A competition for the furthest row added to the tension and excitement.
Our baking enthusiasts prepared cakes for a cake sale, which was (main) attraction of the event. It is not clear whether more cakes were sold to passers-by or eaten by the deserving sports men and women. Certainly, they were all delicious.
It was a fun and successful day.
