AZD 0914

Inhibitor of bacterial DNA gyrase with potent antibacterial activity against Gram negative, Gram positive and atypical bacteria. AZD 0914 inhibits DNA synthesis and causes accumulation of double-strand breaks. AZD 0914 has a low potential for development of drug resistance in bacteria and keeps its bactericidal activity also in fluoroquinolone-resistant isolates.
