Molecular probe for understanding the biology of troponin I-interacting kinase (TNNI3K) and its role in heart failure. The compound exhibits substantial selectivity for TNNI3K over homologous kinases B-Raf and EGFR. In vivo studies showed reduced ROS and p38 MAP kinase activation in mice models for myocardial infarction resulting in reduced left ventricular dysfunction and improved remodelling.
