Shipping Information

For the stock products, the shipment is dispatched 2-3 business days after the receipt of order by express courier delivery service. Shipping times may differ for orders containing Home Office controlled substances. Customers will be notified about the delivery times at order confirmation.

For the non-stock products, the shipping time is confirmed with the receipt of order.  Please note that we are only able to accept orders from and ship products to research institutes and establishments familiar with the properties of our products.


Shipping Charges

We may apply 3 different shipping charges:

• Transport charge applies per shipment and depends on the weight and country of destination.

• Hazard surcharge applies for the shipping of regulated dangerous substances. It applies per item so a shipment with 2 or more hazardous items will incur 2 or more hazard surcharges.

• Special surcharge applies for special requests regarding the delivery (e.g. delivery before 9am, special packaging, temperature tracking, additional services).

For online orders, shipping charges will be added to your basket after inserting the shipping address during checkout. For phone or email orders, you will be informed of shipping charges at order confirmation.

For any specific shipping requirements, please ensure that they are stated clearly when placing an order.

Product use

All products sold by Carbosynth are intended for research use only by professional scientists familiar with their potential hazards in controlled laboratory settings.  They are strictly not for human or veterinary use.  No liability can be accepted for any accident or other consequence of their misuse in any other circumstances. 


Product Availability

You can check product availability on individual product pages by adding the desired quantity and clicking “Check stock” button. The availability information is based on global inventory levels and is updated on a daily basis.


Availability customer support

For out of stock products we provide an estimated lead time which will be confirmed upon the receipt of order. You can contact us anytime to check lead times or the status of your order on sales@carbosynth.com or by calling your local Carbosynth office.


Returns Policy

Returned items will only be accepted and credited with prior approval, in compliance with Carbosynth instructions on return shipment.

Items that may not be accepted for return include but are not limited to custom products and special orders.  

Return of items must be requested by completing a Returns Document Form that can be obtained by contacting our customer service department. The completed form should be sent with the returned items.

For returns due to an incorrectly placed order, Carbosynth may charge a restocking fee of 20%. In this case, the returned item will only be accepted if the original packaging is intact and the customer will be responsible for the return shipment costs. 

Chemicals should not be returned via the postal system.


New products

Consult the New Products page to find the listing of recently added products. The new products can also be identified across the website by the NEW symbol, which displays next to the product name in search results and product listings. Terms and Conditions of Sale

• Prices

The prices payable for the items will be what is currently listed by Carbosynth at the time of despatch. Carbosynth has the right at any time to withdraw discounts and to revise prices to account for increases in costs of materials, labour, carriage, overhead, tax, duty and any other levy and variations in exchange rates.

VAT and any other tax or duties payable by the customer will be added to the price, unless otherwise specified.

• Amendments and cancellations

Amendments to orders by customers must be agreed and signed in writing by both Carbosynth and the customer, specifying the required amendments and any effect on the price and delivery time of the associated item(s).

Cancellations by the customer must be agreed by Carbosynth in writing, outlining the associated charges to account for costs of making non-standard or purchasing non-returnable materials, storage, shipment, supplier’s cancellation charge and any other costs arising due to the cancellation.

• Terms of payment

Payment of invoices must be made in full without deduction, within 30 days of invoice being issued, unless otherwise agreed in writing. 

Any approved extension of credit may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Interest will be charged on overdue accounts at the rate of 3% over Royal Bank of Scotland Plc base rate, beginning from the due date for payment until receipt of full payment.

• Force Majeure

Carbosynth will not be liable for failing to perform any agreements due to events beyond its control. If such circumstances result in insufficient stocks to meet all commitments to customers, Carbosynth may apportion its stocks between the customers at its sole discretion.

• Waiver

Failure to exercise any rights under the agreements of Carbosynth’s terms & conditions is not a waiver of its rights to damages for customer’s breach of contract and for any subsequent breaches.
